Description

This is my diorama on 1/72 scale of D-Day. It shows the landing on Juno Beach by the Canadians. It's a very small scale, difficult to paint. The exact location is the beach at Berniere sur Mer.

Great diorama of D-Day landings! I think the paintwork is wonderful, as is the lighting. You even have the beachmaster, with his dog, directing traffic. Very well done! One of my uncles was in the infantry during WW2, and he was among those who landed at Juno Beach.

A great and fine dedication to your uncle, I have great respect for these brave men, who landed on the Normandy beaches. We commemorated them last 4th of may in the Netherlands.A fine comment of you, thanks very much, salute,Gerrit.

Oh, my! AIrfix! And beautifully done work. Nice job with the waves - those must have been difficult. You've done a great job painting these small figures. I use a pair of 3 X magnifiers to paint my 1:72 vehicles and figures. They are unfortunately all packed away. Having a cat, even if she's ever so careful, does have its risks. You can check back in my gallery for photos of some of my models.

I'm really glad to see you post this, even if it is a small diorama. Keep up the good work! :-)

My rating - a 7 !
