Description
I've passed this garden many times while walking through Jacksonville & have wanted to photograph it, but haven't been able to figure how to capture the charming chaos effectively. On my last walk there a couple of days ago, I realized I had to focus on just a small part of it at a time...
Please zoom.

Claude, I'm at 90 minutes now, and I have to leave. But I skipped around and end with this pic because of the 'chaos' you speak of, the juxtaposition, and the way the light both saturates the shot as well as brings out the deep shadow by contrast. What an array in this shot, including a monk (st francis maybe) and lots of great looking watering pots, etc. The patterns on the wall---from shadows---is grand. And the crop, to include the birdhouse (left) and just enough of the front grass and flowers to "cushion" the piece, is fine visual thinking. A gentle riot of forms and colors. And a fine place to end tonight. I'm almost at the present too...beautiful image. I hope to be back again soon.
