Terpsichore threw her head backwards, in your painting, so she is in fiery contemplation. It's a passionate dance position, while her body is covered in waves of organic forms. I love how you painted her hair---it flows down from her tilted head, like waterfalls, and it ends in gentle curs. You've made a "backwards S" out of her, she undulates from head to toe, through space. And you have these little spheres at the ends of some of your black forms---they're like punctuation marks. At the end of all her swirls, her feet touch the ground with an earthen power. I love those feet. Beautiful evocation of the great goddess; and your choice of straight black is perfect, as it allows the ornament to stand out all the more...
