It's fun to take a different route, even if the shortcut takes longer. :) Seeing different things is so enjoyable. I like looking at everything!

It appears to be quite a triste looking time of day, or the magical hour before night falls - always a bit spooky... especially with the masterful hand of your trusted Corel brush Nikolay, and I love the composition. Soon there will be green leaves on the tree and then you can say Spring has arrived.

With Brigitte, I love the composition too, and yes, it has a certain sadness to it. This is one of your shots where you take sides and backs of buildings, or backway streets and bring out the melancholy and mystery of them with deft strokes of your eye. You do that a lot in your gallery, and you create these dark mysterious passageways out of places that could just as well be a normal walkways. I love the shadow in the front half, the way the road/backroad feels like you're emerging from a dark hidden place. And the mix of siding on those walls, all leading to a blast of light up ahead, with more buildings of mystery. (Well, mystery to us, from where we stand, and not knowing this city as you do.) And an overcast sky, with some clouds that look like they're spraying out of a geyser in Yellowstone! Your postwork heightened those clouds, and made the buildings painterly and fading into oblivion, in spots; and gave a further melancholy to the piece. There's so much light in this shot, and yet it's as hidden as memory. And it speaks of a city with lots of mysteries in its past. Beautifully done...and your brushwork almost makes parts of this image a cloudy, textured mirror...
