I've loved art since I was at school where I grew up in England.  Over the years, I have dabbled with different mediums, pastels, charcoal, acrylics. But then life took over, as it does, and I had neither the time nor the room to pursue my artistic interests.
When I got a computer I started playing around with various graphics programs, but didn't find anything that could really help me create original art until my fiance, Eric, introduced me to Bryce 3D. I was thrilled to finally have a program that enabled me to really explore the realms of artistic expression. At first I followed Bryce tutorials and then started creating some original pieces.
When I was introduced to DAZ, by way of a great tutorial, I used it at first to create characters to import into Bryce renders. Then I  began creating renders completely in DAZ and exploring its wide range of possibilities. Eventually my husband and I both got Vue 9 Esprit and since that time I've been working with it, learning more about it through tutorials at Geek at Play and an online class at LVS.
I still consider myself a beginner/hobbyist compared with the many awesome Vue artists out there, but I'm trying to improve my skills.
I recently opened an online store at Zazzle.com -- 3D Designs by Jayne. It features numerous products, from greeting cards to posters and wrapped canvas, from decorative tiles to laptop and iPad sleeves, with my original artwork on them.

Marvelous scene's composition, great pose and expression ! I like the chair in the image, it suggest me the ides of the presence of someone that temporally is not in the scene !!

I'm going to refer you to the following link....http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1179551/......Scroll down to the screenshot of the Render Settings window. Leave minimum Samples at 5, slide Maximum Samples all the way over to the right.Render Quality should be ON and set to 2.00. Render Converged Ratio should be at 99%, but NOT 100%. I think in the Filtering Tab you will find Architectural Sampler. If you are rendering in an enclosed space, or an interior scene within a building, (with walls around your Model), Architectural Sampler should always be on. Hope that helps!

Thank you for the great info. I did change a couple of the render settings but not all. I will read the thread you mentioned and tweak the settings some more.
RRun
Graininess may be caused by the lighting. I find that if I use yellowish lights the effect increases. You might want to try either a single light source (i.g. Inane Glory's light props, iRadiance products) or set the environment to sun only. This may also reduce rendering times, though mine render at 2 to 5 hrs also. Hope this helps.
And before I forget: nice pose & composition!

Thanks RRun. I just realized that the Ultra Genesis Studio environment comes with some pre-set render settings so I am going to see what difference they make, as well as the tweaks mentioned by StevieC.

One word, STUNNING!

Thank you Crender :-)
PhthaloBlue
Great scene, beautiful character, excellent pose - very well done render! I agree with RRun - graininess may be caused by lighting. I usually have good results with IBL lighting and 1 or 2 mesh lights - usually with 1 of the mesh lights positioned to shine on the area that is grainy.

Thank you PhthaloBlue. I have a 3 point lighting rig in there with mesh lights - I just did a bit of tweaking and have it rendering again now. I also made the changes in the render settings that StevieC suggested. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
