Description

A closer look at another individual Worth full size peep. I've been without internet for a while, as an electrical storm blew the router. I will catch up eventually!

this is a specia ( in my country rare and protected); it differs from most mayflies because of the 3 long tail-threads; it is the ephemera danica

very impressive! Be happy and thankful that it was just your router. You could have lost everything.

Super sharp! I love the highlights on the wings. Yes, absolutely, when IS your book coming out? It wouldn't take much. Just copy the images and text from your gallery.

lol, Mark, on putting all these into a book. (You could make several books out of your gallery.) And apparently, accdg to Juliette, this 'isn't' a mayfly? Or a variation of it? Well, I'm a neanderthal with these id's, so I'll accept whatever you experts tell me. Whatever it is, the closeup reveals the stained-glass-like intensity of these amazing creatures, and the many segments of its body, and just how substantial its appendages are---I don't even know what that 'tail' is called. It has such a spectacular reach, and yet it's all compacted. And such bright white sections in its bamboo-like torso. Beautiful closeup, Andrea.
