Description

Captured 5/1/16, at the beautiful Victorian Fair, held on the beautiful grounds of the beautiful Homestead Museum in beautiful City of Industry, California. The rider did deign to pose for me, but then felt it more appropriate to hold a conversation with some individuals to the right of the image. I took shots of him later riding the big wheeler, while he tossed witty bon mots my way. Actually, he was quite funny.

An interesting observation, but how about the quality of the photo in general?

I still think this doesn't look at all comfortable, but it makes for a great shot. Super lighting and detail in this wonderful capture of the graceful-looking bicycle, Harry!

So different from the first shot, but just as elegant. I love that he turned to talk to other people, it makes it more of a spontaneous shot, a "street shot". Ie, a mix of portrait with spontaneous shooting. Beautifully composed, and the light and shadow on him and the cycle are both beautiful and decked real clarity. And the angled brick sidewalk and fence and home are beautiful backdrops. A heavy light, which, once again, you've variegated into fine contrasts of light and dark; and fine chit chatty expression on the guy's face. I love your shots of this guy!

(Denise says, "I still think this doesn't look at all comfortable"---at all comfortable? If I got on this thing, I'd go down in 2 minutes and spend the rest of the month in the hospital! No way you'd ever get me on one of those things...)
