Hello! My name is Teri and I've been around for over 69 years in various forms. I am happily married (51 years!), have two daughters and four grandchildren.
I discovered Poser 2 many years ago but didn't do much with it. In 2006 I found a copy of Poser 4 and got interested again. I was working in Poser 10 before I switched to Daz Studio in late 2017. I'm gradually getting the hang of most of it.
When not playing on the computer, I help my husband with his start-up Bio Tech business, refinish furniture, knit, crochet, and read. We grab our grandchildren every chance we get and delight in their antics.
Discovering this community has been a great source of fun and support in trying times.I am amazed at the level of talent I see in both the gallery and the products that are offered. It baffles me how little points on a screen can turn into people or trees and move. I'll always be blond I guess!
Thanks for looking.

"Someone out there wasn't very nice." Lol---your inner Raymond Chandler is coming out! Another surprise in your gallery (you have a lot of them): A sudden drop into a barren landscape, with those huge sugarloaf mountains in the background, barren of life. Your paragraph scenarios, btw, are all very well conceived, and tthey're fine capsulizations of much larger stories. This woman, in rich browns and a head scarf (which makes her mysterious), is definitely the focal point of the image; and the skull is almost gold in tone, which stands out beautifully by contrast. You also put in a lizard of some kind, one of the only other living creatures out here, and it gives a sense of how barren this place is. (Also, it harmonizes with her coffee-gold tones---color harmony.) You placed the truck in a fine line behind her---a diagonal which is counterpoint to her stance, and which carries us back, and is a kind of 'base' for those hills. All this is a long way of saying, you've composed this very well. Well, another example: Her head is flush with the upper line of the land, below the hills: Those kinds of choices---often unconscious---are part of what thoughtful artists have done for centuries. I love the map on the truck, and the guard is pretty fierce. And those hills---they loom, and they're a great 'top' to this image. I can see that you love to create moments that suggest whole storylines: we get a glimpse into the story through the moment...you do this very naturally. And the colors here, from those coffee browns to those parched brown-grays, to those peach-hued hills, are wonderfully coordinated, with that woman clearly dominating the center. Wonderfully done, Teri.
I was going to do all the pieces since the last time I commented, but I'm being called away. But I think I did around 12, and it's been a long and rich session. But delightful work as always, filled with rich story and your usual way with light, hue, expression, etc, and your way of combining serious scenes with real fun. Your gallery's a delight!
