Cool capture! Why are you letting the Boy Scouts practice their knot tying on you?

Would be funny to see it try picking up those old signals. I wish they could remake the Philco. Great capture as always, Richard.

Those technical veterans have so nice shapes. Smats tablets are so simple shaped.

A wonderful antique, Richard. They really built stuff to last back then.

Good old fashioned analog, tube-dependent technology was built to last. It's a pity something like this can't pick up digital signals!

Boy that's a big one. I had a great big piece of furniture with a 5-10" screen when I was a kid, Not sure when it was made but it was from the 40's

I've been gone a lot from RR, and started hitting galleries in the last week or so. It's hard to catch up when I've missed so many postings, but going back a week or so is at least a start. I love the things you catch in your travels, and this is a wonderful find and fine capture. The whole shot seems to have the patina of that old set---that olive green shiny hue that those old CRT's had. (I assume that's a CRT---it's been so long since they've been used, I forgot!) I love the reflection in the table, and the flag on one end---it's pure abstraction. Really enjoyable shot, Richard.
