I sure hope eekdog takes this in the fun spirit it is meant. And I also hope he stays in touch with his inner kid . Sorry I am a bit late, but I wanted to post something to wish you all the best even if it is a bit late. This was taken at Knottsberry Farm in California a few years ago.

Before zooming, I would've never guessed what this was! It looked like a section of a classical Chinese arch. Or decorations hanging from a holiday canopy...Then I zoom and see it's a ride! Love the starkness of it, the rides under that big girder, and all that sky. And the only other thing in the shot---that big vertical pillar. It's almost an abstract. (Gotta be zoomed to feel it.) And a great image for Steve, with the "eek" thrown in for good measure. Happy Birthday Steve! (He isn't 60 today, he's 59---I messed up lol! but it doesn't make the birthday any the less important...) Love your sense of abstract play in this. A really fun image.

Great shot of this hellish thing!

Great action photo of the intrepid adventurers, hanging on for dear life as they whip through tortuous centrifugal forces at warp speed (actually, they look they've been hung out to dry) at the venerable Knots Berry Farm, about fifteen miles from where I call home. Do you have anything death defying like this in Holland?

El Condor - Walibi Holland ...a similar ride here in the Netherlands

One of my favorite quotes from Mark Twain: "Age is just a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
At first I thought you were heading for 60. Then I thought it was the ride. Clever word play and super image.

My speeding ride already arrived at 60 just earlier this year. It was the first birthday since I turned 20 that bothered me at all. Iit took me a few weeks to come to terms with the idea that 60 is not a magic number that turns a person into an "old" person. I am now back to my happy state of "I don't mind and it doesn't matter" :)
