Back in July 2002 while taking out the trash at the end of my shift at my part-time summer job, this pitiful, half-starved, mangy looking kitten crawled out from under the dumpster. He looked up at me with those sad green eyes and let out a meek meow, my heart broke wondering how someone could be so cruel as to abandon this adorable creature and let its fate fall where it may. Today his name is George and he has been my best friend going on close to 14 years.
