Description
Legio octava Augusta (Augustus' Eighth Legion) was a legion of the Imperial Roman army originally founded in 65 BC, and continuing in service to Rome for at least 400 years thereafter. It was ordered to Cisalpine Gaul around 58 BC by Julius Caesar, and marched with him throughout the entire Gallic Wars. VIII Augusta took also part in the Roman invasion of Britain. Photo taken in Crevalcore, near Bologna.

Fantastic capture. You did a wonderful job. I am not spamming for anyone but I bet you would love www.PrinceArmory.com. They do some fantastic period pieces.
sandra46
thank you, but they manufacture mostly pieces for cosplay and fantasy, not real reenactors. Moreover they are US-based, and these reenactors are Italian ;)
