Description

Parque National de Timanfaya: that is what you are looking at. Timanfaya clearly shows that the island of Lanzarote (Part of the Canary Islands) is of volcanic origin. In the 18th Century, Lanzarote was struck by e series of eruptions. The first village to disappear was Timanfaya. On the back ground you will see the Atlantic Ocean. The contrast of the sea and the stone is so beautiful. The image was taken from a driving bus.. it wasn't easy to avoid the reflections of the window and to stabilize the camera at the same time and to get an acceptable shot.
