Mandi, I'm at nearly an hour and a half, and I have to move on (I have a number of galleries yet to get to, this time around), and it's never easy to leave. And I only did 9 images in your gallery---which is, like, really pitiful! But I just love to dive into these images, and it takes time. This one is yet another side to your fractal universe. This baby's a series of crystals, with metal grids all over them, like thick metal screening; and they jut and intersect, and form crystal massing that one sees in mineral crystals. I love the massing of forms in the top of the image; and the way the forms elongate and pour into the lower half. And the deep shadows and strong highlights. And it's really thick in there, I mean it looks fairly open, but one would have a hard time getting a needle through this mass. Wonderfully packed. And I love your color schemes. They morph into each other, a bit, but overall they fall in layers. I just love it. You're still one of the genuinely unique artists here, and remembering all your historical pieces, with commentary on Soviet history and so many other things, and all the organic forms you've created and penetrated over the years, and your surreal pieces including bits from 19th C medical texts, and on and on, I have to remind myself that this latest group is but one of the many worlds that pour out of your limitless inner eye, day after day. Just terrific, Mandi. I'll try to comment again as soon as I can, but just know I'm always looking, no matter what...
