Description
The Castro government will tell you that no one goes hungry in Cuba and 95% of its citizens own their own homes. Health care and education through university is free and worker’s salaries are not taxed. Human nature, however, dictates that people will always want more. Limited private enterprise is now legal on the island so to earn more money you might open a small market. If that is beyond your reach you might consider a food cart. And if that is too much, a wheel barrow works too.

A wheel barrow it seems is preferred. Superb capture my friend. God bless.

Awesome capture and find, to bad you didn't get the proprietor in the shot too!

Fine shot, with a nice balance of color & gray tones - a simple object tells a story...

Wonderful capture and good points about living

full zoom brings out the heavy grit on the sidewalk, curb and road, as well as the wonderful bruises on the bananas, not to mention the sheen on the mangos. (Or whatever fruit those are.) A very expressive capture, with the barrow right in the center, and empty concrete around it. Urban grit at its finest, with some very rich looking fruits in the center of it all. Oh, and great detail on the wheelbarrow too! I love the shot. Chicago used to have sights like this, but the city has become too controlled for individual efforts like this. Another fine entry in this continually first rate series, Mark...

It makes a most attractive photo . The brightness of the fruits against all that grey is very appealing. I should probably have been tempted.

Beautiful capture. I like the contrast between the old wheelbarrow and the colorful fruits very much. Well done.
