A capybara, the largest current living member of the rodent family, if I'm not mistaken? (About it being the largest current living etc., I mean; this is definitely a capybara.) Adorable, sleeping or otherwise, and very strong photo.

You are correct, the Capybara is the largest rodent in the world according to Wikipedia. Thank you so much for telling me the animal species as well! I shall change the title of the photo now. =)

Capybaras are my son's favourite animal, mainly because they basically look like giant guinea pigs. Excellent capture.
