Description
The reading is a pleasure that can take you into the world of the fantastic and allows you to imagine what is not exclusively true. You may also can know what others have thought and that wanted to let you know, for this reason the books are a fundamental building block of culture.

Like quicksilver balancing itself on stacks of books. Terrific philosophical message in this marvelous representation of never ending education and pleasure.

A beautiful image, Giuliano. Your background is awash in beautiful hues: The woman sits in front of pastel hues, the man sits in front of deep green hues. Forest greens. Luminous greens. And the man and woman are made of beautiful burnished steel, or chrome-like metal. They are touching each other---this is a beautiful thing, because they're also immersed in books. They are studying, but they are still touching each other. And they sit on books---more of your old beautiful books. You use beautiful old books in your art; books which are bound in leather, and which have gold paint on their sides. Some of the books are open, and we can see very old ornament, and calligraphic capital letters. These books are old treasures. And you've stacked them in contrasting angles---another piece of evocative design. And the image is doused in bright light and rich shadows. And, of course, there is a cat, resting: The cat rests because the humans, above, are in such peace. So the cat is in piece. It doesn't need to 'comment' on what he sees...
Two people reading and not talking to each other: That could be a sad image. But this isn't sad, it's actually touching to me. Because they're immersed in whole worlds, and still they touch each other. They're at peace. Your colors convey tranquility and peace too. Even the floor has some 'rainbow' hues in it. And you have a late day sun...Beautifully done, Giuliano: As always, your work is deeply thoughtful and evocative. And your textures, hues, composition, etc (your technique) is brilliant. A wonderful session, tonight. (2 hours!) It's always a great pleasure!

That nice moment of being taken away from the reality by a book. But for the third party you've become a statue with a book again ;)

I also love my own book collection, they are very special to me and I wouldn't let anyone take them away - I'll be heartbroken... so I can understand the passion of reading for this couple, which is also my passion, marvellous interpretation Giuliano.

Fantastic illustration. The stacking of the books, the "speeding" colours in the wall, and the textures on the figures really give you a sense of just how lost a person can become when reading. Great work! :)
