Description
Captured 5/28/16 @ 8:54 am, somewhere along les boulevard.
I need an identification on these guys. I've seen this species, with its fine filament strands, elsewhere during my travels around the Southland.

Really beautifully captured. . We call it "Bear Grass" in Denmark, but I think the real name is Festuca glauca.

I'll bow to Helle's name, I haven't a clue what they are. But they're beautiful things. The top shot has 3 layers---the bushes, the grasses, the sidewalk. And the layers make a beautiful combination: Ie, flat white, fine strands, and a carpet of green. Well composed, Harry. The bottom one is a closeup, and but for the lack of a bald spot, it looks like my hair: thin and all over the map. I like how you included a portion spilling over the concrete. And they grow in tufts too, rather than just randomly. Beautifully captured. Most unusual too.
