Description
Taken from the Da-Ku-Be-Te-De trail that winds around the western end of the lake. We've taken this trail several times, though never all the way to the end, as that would would be about a 9 mile round trip. We usually turn around after about 2 miles or so, making it a pleasant 4 mile hike, with quite a bit of cool shade from the trees on hot sunny days.
We're in the midst of a heat wave right now, with temperatures in the 90's over the last few days & expected to to be in the low 100's over the weekend...

About 62F here today, but they SAY it's getting warmer in the near future! I think we're supposed to get something around 80 this weekend. I'd be happy with 70-75, but they didn't ask me. LOL!
