Good color and ambiance. The life force spews from the mouth of this somber creature. My brother has lived in Santa Fe for decades.

I can see why this is right up Andrea's alley, it has that wonderful twist to it that she has in her sculpture, drawings and paintings. In pics like this, part of what you do is the way you bring out hues. This art-piece/fountain may have this saturated tan-orange, but it's not always brought out in a photo. You bring it out very powerfully, so that the art, wall, and the objects around it speak to us very strongly. Declaratively. Also, I like the bit of world on the far right, it gives the photo a feeling of some of the abstracts of the 70s and 80s, like Rothko and others. A painter would put in those strokes on an edge to open up the composition, break the canvas's 'box', or sometimes to complete the piece. I love it here. And the logs and rocs and water are variously lit and I love how they appear here. A really fine photo, Claude. This is a very Claude photo, though there are many such. It just feels very 'claude' to me.
