Totally tripping and melting into the landscape...like lots of those lucky enough to experience Woodstock first hand and hear some amazing tunes and acts !
You really nailed the flavour of those 70's posters and album covers, another way cool dedication Yves.
~Cheers~

Wonderful once again. Love the way you have extracted the ovoid shapes from the hair and placed them around the lower part of the figure!

Brilliant! I was at Woodstock (I was 18 or 19), and there were a lot of people with flowers in their hair, and long hair. And the music flowed 24 hours a day. Your painting could have been the cover for many record albums from that time. (LP's/33 tours). It has a little bit of Peter Max's art in it, and some Andy Warhol too. But it's all you, and you did it brilliantly. I love the orange-purple here. And I love the way her hair and dress dissolves into droplets that disperse in the air. And her body and hair 'unite' and end in big waves and bursts on the bottom-right. And you got drooping forms coming down from her head, like a huge membrane---touches of Aubrey Beardsley, and even some Al Hirschfeld. I love the yellow for her eyelid too. This is perfect, Yves. You caught the spirit of the time and the place. (Woodstock was actually pretty crazy, at times, as there were so many people there, you felt that you might never get 'out' of there...) A beautiful truthful piece.
Well, I've been in your gallery for 2 hours, and I commented on every image that I've missed since I last commented here. It's a great treat, Yves, I'm amazed at how many styles you have, and the panache you put into every one of them. Beautiful work. I hope to comment here again, sooner than the last time! Wonderful...
