Description
This render is based on an 1865 photograph by Selmar Rush Seibert of a David torpedo boat aground in Charleston, South Carolina (National Archives 165-C-751 https://www.archives.gov/research/military/civil-war/photos/images/civil-war-056.jpg). The horse appears in the original, rather desolate photo but no people. For this revisit I've added a lone gull atop the shed and a Union officer and soldier, and of course, Zoe. The inhabitants have fled Charleston and the soldiers, traveling through the port area by buggy, come across the abandoned David.
The beach is from Pier 01 with added stones from Flink's Instant Meadows. The pier is built from the Wharf Construction Kit (DAZ). The sheds are from Andrew D. and the house from Paulwall (both 3D Warehouse). The wagon is from components by Skylab and 3Dgrey (ShareCG) and the Millennium horse LE is from DAZ. The sky is from one of my photos. The torpedo boat is my Poser model. The gull is Noggins (DAZ), the soldiers are Crowfoot's Civil War Soldiers, and Zoe is forever the Millennium Cat.
Composed and rendered in Poser 11 Pro, post-processed in Corel PhotoPaint.
