Description
I got a heartbreaking call last night from one of my long-time friends here at Renderosity. Many of you here know Mike, and what a kind and gentle man he is. He has been one of the most supportive folks here for many, many of us through the years.
Last night, Mike lost his father in a tragic car accident. It's hard enough to lose a parent, even when it's expected - it's even harder when it happens like this.
I know you'll join Jo and me in keeping Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers. It's time to support him as much as he has done for us, and help him through this most difficult time.
Mike, we're here for you, buddy, and we share your pain and tears.

I'm not a poet so I did not put one on my post for our friend. Yours is really touching and so well done, Rod. Really bothered me all day while I was driving. Saw the wreckage of a two car head on collision.. both cars were smashed in 30% so. I hope the SOB who ran that stop sign get the max jail term.

beautiful and very touching, Rod, for a friend who I know is dear to you. And you reminded us all what a light Mike is to everyone here, which is so fitting. I've lost people suddenly, and I lost a father too; so I can understand both. You've taken two of your beloved characters and made them weep for us, and it's so touching how they console zlata, who Mike has made into magic for us. It brought tears to my eyes. Many and deep sympathies to Mike and his family...and, as the line from a famous poem goes, may he move ever surely from mourning into morning...

I Heard the News at 2am this Morning instead of Making a Image for him I thought Who is Mike so I went to his Gallery all the way Back to his First Post 2008 50 pages of pics I browsed through the thumbnails stopping at the images I wanted to see better I finished at 4am it was a Great experience I advise Every one to do it!( not at 2am unless you want to!)

What a beautiful but very sad dedi for Mike, whom I dont really know, but I can easily imagine the great sorrow he feels, when he lost his dear father this way, so I feel for him and I hope, that he will remember, that his father is not totally lost, as long as he keeps the memories of him and talk about him. He willl still be around.

OUCH! And a car accident to boot! This makes me sad, but also wondering... there have been too many deaths in the community this past year. I wonder why? Folks, please be careful with your health and your safety! My condolences to Mike.
