Description

Infiltrating into the Wabi spaceship was a breeze. "And the winner is ..." JS grinned. The chosen Wabi corporal had just joined the company as a result of a regrouping decided by HAVOC, a firm secretly owned by the now de-brained Lady Lou Cyfer, after Sihrr's defeat. As a new entry he shouldn't give any explanations to his fireteam. The spaceship was piloted automatically and he easily found the route and destination port. Their destination was well out of the Gray space, it was placed at the rim of the Earth's sector; however, there were no settlements yet and no trafficked routes. "A fucking galactic asshole, for sure. Ades-Resurrection, a very apt name." JS thought and sent the coordinates to Vickie and Etta. Shortly later, they sent back the area star maps and JS found a satellite at the edges of the outer ring of a Saturnian planet in the AR-1 system where his fleet could hide. The monotonous hum began to change, the spaceship was about to leave the hyperspace and land on AR-1. JS hastened to take his place into the cryostasis sarcophagus he had previously disabled. Having already fought with the Wabis he knew the NCOs were 'awakened' a few minutes before the troops and at least ten minutes before the officers, so when the lids began to rise he was ready to jump out lively and perky. "Eve!" JS mind-cried a moment before jumping out of hyperspace, before to close his mind completely. It took all his determination to do so, because his soul longed to hear again his sweet Eve, but he had to: it was too risky to contact Eve. If she perceived him, she could give him away. Nothing like joy or fear could betray a person, especially in front of experts such as Flaw or 3TC. "Get down!" yelling sergeants pushed their squads down the ramp and the officers hurried to confer with the Grays. The chain of command was simple: the Grays were in charge. Flaw was just a guest, his authority destroyed by Eve's moves. As no one wore his mind-blocker any longer it was easy to read their minds and knowing what had happened. Pride for Eve’s strength merged with the grief for his sister's demise, but JS steeled himself: "I'll mourn your death later, little sister." he thought. Used to employ mercenaries for millennia, the Grays, however, were at a loss about how to act directly. Finally, they decided to put 3TC in charge. "3TC was never an operative, only a desktop rat who has made a career stabbing his colleagues in the back, and doesn't know shit about a battlefield. Then ..." JS grinned. "Badu, you take command of the Wabis!" 3TC shouted. "Bingo! It will be a piece of piss!" Badu, who in his life had reached the rank of sergeant, strutted in front of the deployed battalion roaring: "Get the camp ready!" but he was mulling: "What orders do I have to give to show what I'm worth to the Grays?" "Move two teams into the palace!" JS whispered in Badu's mind subliminally. "I'd better move two Wabi teams into the palace, just in case I need to get the upper hand." Badu grinned. "Badu, you idiot, the Wabis are programmed to always obey the Grays!" JS thought to himself. Badu was walking back and forth to choose the teams. "Now the hard part is getting selected without Badu recognizing me." So JS focused in sending strong signals to Badu, feelings of efficiency, callousness and cruelty. Badu loved that. "You, do I know you?" Badu asked, stopping in front of him. With his mental strength JS projected a deformed image of his face, altering Badu's perception. "No sir!" he yelled in Gray, and in Earthener. "No, sirree!" "Do you speak Earthener?" "Yes, sirree, a little, sirree." Now he was camped exactly where he wanted to be: inside the palace. "You'll obey only my orders and translate what the Grays say, is that clear!" Badu yelled. "Crystal clear, sir." JS smiled. A nasty, ruthless smile filled with perfidy and cunning.

Great scene. I like Desmond hovering in the background. I wonder if JS's half brother will recognize him? If not, it looks like JS has laid out the perfect ambush. Badu is and A-Hole.
