Description

I wanted to do something a little different, and perhaps a little unsettling when I can across a photography series by Daniel Lee called "modern-day chimeras" and thought the concept of human animal hybrids could be just what I was looking for.so opening the not very often used creature creator (at least for me) I went to work. I did something fairly simple for this one using the chimp face full head morph but I did this just to see how it would turn out and to test the waters a little. The method that I used was fairly simple put together the shot with the pose and expression like I normally would. Add the morph then set up the camera and lighting with the morph. The texture applied is Matte from Tempesta3D and the hair is the Nox hair set with the headband set to transparent.I originally wanted to use the headband as well but it kept intersecting the ear and I couldn't get it to fit right and look right so I just hid it. Rendered in Reality to try to add to the realism of the textures.I wanted something where for a moment you'd could forget that you're looking at a creature and not something totally human before being snapped back. Little touch ups to the contrast the curves in Photoshop to bring out the colors and highlights that I wanted. Nothing more extensive then what I would do with a portrait photo that I took with camera.
