Description
One of my all time favourite Citroens, only the 1955-75 Citroen DS beats it.
Often knocked by those who have never driven one or don't get that you do not have to rush around everywhere :-)
This is Alain and Erics wonderful little 2CV model of the early 'Ripple' bonnet version that is available in their Nationale 7 store.
I'd love a real Fourgonnette (van) version on my drive.

Yes the design is strange but Citroën wanted "4 wheels under an umbrella". Maybe ugly but so funny to drive in summer! The matter was that it was impossible to overtake the trucks!!!

I agree Alain, this was a car designed for a purpose with the French ordinary man in mind. Although designed before the war it wasn't produced until 1948 and stayed in production until 1990, not many other cars can boast that many years and still be as popular seller. I do love the gear change on these and the Renault 4.

the tv show "wheeler dealers" had one on the show and Edd China had the job of making repairs so Mike Brewer could sell at a profit.
