Description

Here is a quick and dirty render with Nimrod Mk.I and HMS Eagle. The Nimrod is here in it's natural environment... I knew I have it on my hard disc... :-)

Most folk always think of the more modern Hawker Siddeley Nimrod but I bet this earlier one looked quite the part in it's day........thanks :)

Great render! I really like the angle of the set up; it really is a good angle for the HMS Eagle. The fairly low angle of the point of view and level flight path of the Nimrod work really well together. I like this one a lot!

landing on carriers must be very nerve wracking . I walked around on one at Corpus Christi and there is not very much room

Better late than never at all as they say... Sorry for VERY late comment, have little time to do them now :-( But, having seen two Mks of Nimrods now they are a sight and sound, the Kestrel engine having a snarl of its own.. Great 'quicky' mate, thanks for thinking of me, Rob

My own take is that all this beauty loses some operational strain without the Nimrod having an angle of attack. Certainly everything is possible in this skilled render. The speed, the stability of altitude all say that the earth's surface is parallel. Maybe it is Royal Marines I think is spoiling my enjoyment of a beautiful day in the sun.
