Description
So where do you dry your laundry when the yard is filled with odd bits of art? Well, there's always the roof.

I don't like laundry spoiling the look of my garden! So, I use a tumble drier, as I do the washing for all five of my household, and anyway my 30 stone/490 pound,/190 kg lodger has tee shirts that would occupy a line each

Oooohh! They've got seven lines and sturdy metal poles. We've got a nice setup in Texas with five lines, and I dry all my laundry on the line there. A friend from Quebec calls it my "2016 Samsung solar dryer." :P I've got a regular tumble model in the house, but prefer line-dried clothes. Especially sheets and towels!!

Yep, I love line dried clothes and Tara's right--the sheets and towels are luscious. I like to bring the sheets right off the line and put them on the bed---nothing better. My line's not on the roof, but right out the back door.

I'm going back in your gallery to catch things I've not commented on in the last couple of years, and I was embarrassed to see that there are actually shots I didn't comment on from your Cuba trip. The comments above mostly talk about laundry, but not much about the image. I zoomed this and I loved it! The leaves have an almost soapstone look, I love your light, I love the detail on the leaves--small and large--I love the layout of the clothes (the angle you have), and the strong saturated hues. I really love the shot. This has a lot of your photojournalistic qualities, mixed with your artistic qualities all in one shot. A really fine shot, Mark.
I've been called away---I'll get to more later or in the morning, but I also wanted to say thank you for your terrific comments. How you found that older 'shelter' shot is beyond me: I started to look, but got frustrated and quit (I don't think it's called "shelter"); and I got a big kick out of you quoting me, and in purple. (Andrea laughed too...) And the William Tell song. (How many people remember that from Long John Silver? I think I got the name right) I had to work that out in my head lol...and your kindness and reception, period. Grazie, fratello. It's all much appreciated. More soon.
