Description
Balcony House is another cliff dwelling at Mesa Verde National Park. It's accessible to the public, but only through a ranger led tour & requires climbing a 32 foot wooden ladder & crawling through a 12 foot tunnel. It wasn't physically very challenging, but could definitely be a problem if you suffer from acrophobia or claustrophobia...

Oh, MAN! The colors here are so surreal. Don't look natural but they are. Just unbelievable. I am truly amazed at this! What more can I say. And you've captured it beautifully! Thanks a load! My respect to the people who built this place - hard to get to, and dragging bricks and rocks to build it. Keep up the good work! :-)

No problem at all with ladders and tunnels ... it's the altitude! Yikes! Crawling along in a tunnel, I'd have to stop and take a bit of a nap, and I'm sure the people behind me wouldn't appreciate it. So glad you went here so I could see it!

Fine handling/balancing of highlights and shadows. I have just begun a little catch-up in your gallery. I recall that the sun seemed very bright to me during our visit to Mesa Verde. More comments forthcoming...
