Description
Captured today, 6/20/16 @ 12:55 pm, inside my condominium unit on the steps of the stairwell.
Top number is the outdoor patio temperature, middle number the indoor temperature, and bottom figure the time of day. Just to be accurate, I have two other similar thermometers recording the temps besides this one.
The hellish temperature hung there for over an hour before backing off. Fortunately, this is a very low humidity heat wave, and is expected to cool off tomorrow.
Incidentally, for those outside the United States, 113.5 Fahrenheit equals 45.28 Celsius.

The daily temperature in the Ojai valley east of Santa Barbara, California. Lots of citrus fruit orchards there (at least were there in the 1960s). Temperature's good for frying eggs on the asphalt or on a metal sheet. Where I am now (south Sweden) it's cold (57 degrees Farenheit, 14 degrees Celcius, raining), but too warm for a cold drink. But who wants a cold drink with this low temperature anyway! As you say, it's fortunate it's dry heat where you are. When the temperature goes up here, the moisture makes you sweat like mad! Nice shot of your little weather station! :-)

Here in New England we never see temps that high. I don't care what they say HOT is Hot. Nice shot.

Too hot for my blood; I'd have to move! Has the thermometer been calibrated? To be sure that's really the temp? Yikes! Might as well be living in H-E-double toothpicks!
