Description

George Petty's pin-ups were the inspiration for this study. In particular the 1956 Ridgid tool calender. You can see the original Petty at http://www.thepinupfiles.com/petty.html The nice thing about Petty's work is how tight and scarce the clothes are. That means less postwork and a sexier image. I wanted to test how well I could pose Vicky and arrange the lights so I used the original as a background. I had to turn the limits off to get the necks and head to bend right. The legs were lengthened and the arms were shortened using just the scale dials. I'm pretty happy with the results even though the face looks a little too 'Bettie Page'. I rendered at 2000x2500 for post work in photoshop. The hair, bathing suit, and ballet shoes were drawn there. The skin texture is Steena by Stenographics. Amazing work! How you got those shoulders to do that is beyond me. Petty always made the airbrushing of the bathingsuits obvious too as if he was just covering over the real nude.:))
