Description

Captured on 6/26/10, in the early morning, only heaven knows where. One of the few pooches around town that hasn't barked at me.

Canines can be interesting, can't they? There are some, like two of our three, that will be every curious, and even standoffish, and others which will shrug off the hesitance they have and look for a greeting or treat from the occasional passerby. Perhaps he thought your camera would be randomly expelling treats.

There is something about this dog that reminds me very much of mine; she has the same dark stripe in the same place down her spine, and her tail curls just the same way. Her ears have long streamers of hair, though, and her face is much furrier. I don't know what her breed is, and I think this fellow might be a Chihuaha mix? Mine is reputed to be terrier, so maybe she's terrier and chihuaha? Who knows, I could get DNA testing but it's way too expensive given that it wouldn't matter one iota. She does do the same front paw lift though (I think of it as a canine question mark). Another great dog shot!
