Description

This was the packaging round my washing machine. It inspired me to make this rather Aztec wall hanging which serves to cover the hole in the wall from the downstairs loo. The hole was meant to be the site of an extractor fan which never got installed. The washing machine died after 23 years but is immortalised by this temple! Polystyrene and acrylics. about a metre tall. (I'm certain I once posted this way back, but it's not there in my photostream !)

Ok you got me! Had I not read the description I would have never guessed.

What can i say more than i LOVE IT A LOT and that i find your idea fabulous?? I can see that this a Temple. At same time you are recycling what for almost everybody would be wastes and you are doing art with it ! And more:) a good work to your wall and a terrific tribute to your machine that did a good work all this years:))) And it is so joyful! I love the colors and your drawings and i hope you let stay in the wall, this truly creative work, Andrea:)
