Description

If this artwork looks a little familiar to you, it should! This was a unique collaboration across the coasts of the United States with my pal Daggerwilldo. Many of you have already visited his gallery and if you haven't check it out! Dag came up with the idea of two of our musician characters being part of a virtual band and the rest- as they say- is history. We drew on our experiences as musicians to craft a special thank-you to all of the hardworking and nonfamous musicians working all over the place. In this case, we've got a couple of grizzled country outlaws jamming away onstage. Dag posted this image on his gallery a couple weeks ago and I am following suit so that those of you who missed it can see it now in all its glory. It was lots of fun collaborating on a render this way, almost like a late-night jam session. As for who did what, I tend to think it was a 50-50 split like all good jams are. If you have a chance to see a local band this weekend - be it at a fair, a bar, a park, a festival - please do so. Music is one of those things that helps make us human.

To elaborate, I only really did what bass players always do. "Stand around and take credit for what the rest of the band does." No actually most everything you see here came from mightymysterio. The background, the guitar picker, as well as the stage setup was all his doing. I added the bass player and worked on some of the shadow placements.

What I hope you don't see is that this was done on two separate computers 1000's of miles apart. It was a fun collaboration and a great learning experience with a fine artist and friend.
