A great artist should manage before anything else the traditional media composition.That's why I am not surprised you can do THIS kind of wonderful stuff as well, not a single bit. Because I know from a long time ou really have a huge talent :). And when you operate in Illustrator, your background shows in full anyway,and it nobilitates any media you use, digital, regular.. it doesn't matter once one like you is so inspired :)

Wow thats acrylic?! Superb looks like oil or something else I don't know how you got that technique and effect! Amazing stuff very different from your others but just as Superb!! :P
