Description

Special Notes: There was some confusion about infused water from the last post. No, I don't buy infused water, that would be no fun. I want to create. I take the fruit, cut it up, and put it in a pitcher with the water. It becomes a sort of work of art if you do it right. The fruit is all bright colored and floats on top of the water. The nutrients and stuff are supposed to infuse with the water, and add a bit of taste. The problem is getting the taste combo right. I can make it look pretty, but it doesn't taste right yet. I'll take a pic next pitcher I make. Warning: I guess I better add a warning just in case someone wants to try this. You leave the fruit in the room temperature water for 2 hours, then refrigerate. (no more than 2 hours or bacteria will start to grow). You also have to remove the fruit after 24 hours if you don't drink all the water in that time. (or bacteria will start to grow). And, you have to throw the water out after 3 days (no more than 3 days, or bacteria will start to grow). Remember, homemade infused water doesn't have those chemicals in it like store bought to keep it fresh. Always be thinking about food safety when making homemade stuff. here's a link for infused water recipes. http://dish.allrecipes.com/fresh-ideas-for-making-infused-water/

Fantastic and beautiful image! So being a mad scientist experimenting with fruit, that sounds like a good idea to get the nutrients and not just flavor the water, hope you get the formula right soon. I bet it would look pretty.

Thanks for the info but think I'll stick with my naturally infused iron and God knows what else artesian water. It hasn't killed me yet but time will tell.

Interesting experimentation you have undertaken with the water. I guess I will stick to orange juice or iced tea. LOL! Great looking ZAM image BTW.

Lots of violet in that cool image, and I like the contrasts and general effects of it all. As for the infused water, thanks for the information, but I'm too old, lazy, senile and klutzy to get involved in that fruity chemistry. So, I'll just stick to plain and/or fizzy bottled water.

Dude. Eat the fruit. If you're still thirsty, have a glass of ice water or something.
