Description

Here's a bit of playing I did after watching a great series of tutorials over at Phlearn.com.. Here for your viewing pleasure (I hope) is the first poster for Chapter 6 with a film noir / Sin City style, just for fun! The city scene in the background is a photo of downtown Kansas City by me. I used a lot of techniques from Aaron's tutorial to give it a gritty atmosphere. The snow/rain brush is free at Phlearn.com You can see the tutorial (and grab the brush) here: https://phlearn.com/make-sin-city-portrait-photoshop-part-1 I have a ton of other stuff in the works! Very slowly, RL is allowing me a bit more time to get back into the FUN stuff. I've got the next page in the story in process, and hope to get Pages 29 and 30 up fairly quickly. There will be a short break for some writing and development, then I'll unleash Chapter 6 on you. Stay tuned. I've pretty much got DAZ configured on the new laptop - I have a few other things to figure out, but I'm liking it a lot thus far. Much more to come! Hope everyone is having a good week (mine has been hectic as hell at work.....), and a great weekend (that can't get here soon enough..). Now, it's off to try and catch up on comments again. Speaking of which.... Thanks for all the great fun comments on my Suzi Moonbeam post - I got a good bunch of laughs out of some of them! And thanks for dropping by! Ar's outfit is Midnight Destiny by Pixeluna/Shadownet. Available @ DAZ/RDNA

I have a real emotional attachment to film noir and old English mysteries, all in B&W. Nice poster, Rod! 😀

Oh yeah, that poster is kinda smokin! (steaming? Damp?) That would make a really cool texture for a movie poster.

It why you art is so good your constantly learning to improve, while I struggle to keep what I know, and you have a lot of good programs. Unfortunately my stupid Adobe elements 14 does not take brushes (Bastards). I just got Affinity Beta which was a Mac Photoshop program that just just coming out with a windows version. Also stupid me, my new computer came with a 256gb solid state drive along with a 2 TB drive. Of course the computer maker put windows on the solid state drive and every program I have insists on the C drive for the install. I have only been able to put half of my art programs on the drive which is almost full. Most of it is now DAZ content I need to find out how to point DAZ at a different directory like my Poser and put it on the 2TB drive. I am looking forward to your series. Sorry for the diatribe.

I went into the content editor in DAZ, and re-directed it to look for content on the 2TB drive. I have a 120GB SSD for the OS drive, and yeah.... When all my DAZ content downloaded, my OS dive was half full. You can also tell the Download Manager where to put the stuff it downloads.
