Description
As we were pulling out of the parking lot in Astoria where we picnicked, I noticed this rusty machine, asked my wife to stop the car, jumped out & took a picture of it. It was outside what looked like a municipal administration building of some kind & there were no signs indicating what it was. I'm guessing it's something off a ship (a pump, maybe?), but that's just a WAG (wild ass guess) on my part. If someone knows what it is, I'd be glad to hear it, but I'm also perfectly happy to have it remain a mystery...

I am pretty sure that is a steam engine. It likely used to run an generator for electricity.
