Plastic Ocean Project
300 MILLION TONS! That’s how much plastic is created each year. And it’s only growing. Every year 8 million of those tons is finding its way into the oceans making marine life sick and dying. The most harmful type of waste is plastics - not only does it take up the most volume, but it never decomposes. PK Clean solves the problem of plastic waste entering landfills, by turning it into fuel. Banning the bag, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle helps, but sometimes feels like a fly slowing a locomotive. In the meantime, 500 million plastic straws continue to be produced each day and 1500 plastic water bottles are used every second in the US. It’s time to give plastic value.
POP and PK Clean are working together to develop the solution to plastic marine pollution. The photo here shows one vial of plastics and the amount of oil it can produce. Thats right, roughly 80% of landfill bound plastics that goes through this pyrolysis process can become a resource!
On a large scale, this depolymerization exudes no emissions, is self sufficient and returns energy on a 1 to 50 ratio!

I love your artwork Dee! I will make sure I never make him mad. Plastic and other pollutants are a problem in oceans and other waterways. There's a river here that they found out two or three years ago that was polluted by an old printing company that is no longer here. We have businesses that sell fish here and one business was catching fish from that river and selling it and I think a lawsuit was filed, because customers were scared that they were getting sick from the contamination. I think people that fish at the river became apart of the lawsuit too. I remember my science class in high school went to that river to test for fecal matter and other bad stuff in the water there and we stood and played around in the water there for two or more hours and that was twenty years ago. I hope that didn't do any long term damage to any of us.

A fun and well done image with an important message! We need to stop destroying this planet! With all the exoplanets they've found, there still isn't another Earth!
Wonderful render, Dee!

Human's are an odd critter. We go absolutely berserk in Govenrment circles over terrorism, which rightfully we should, but it will in no way destroy us as a species. Yet, Ecological damage to the Planet we seem to Govenrmentally shrug off as "ohhhh well," Jobs would be affected and we aren't sure we contribute. While we should all do everything we can to preserve the environment, we as people need to take our elected officials to task and quit being so damned apathetic to that which will kill of our future generations.
