I always assumed having more access to media would make it easier to find the truth. Now I am forced to think even harder about what I see and hear. Good work!

I see everything that you upload, on the day you upload it. I just don't comment until later. But when I saw this, the first time, I laughed: Yes, TV's wash our 'minds'---but not to purify them: To "empty" them. (Well, that's not totally fair: There is some brilliant work on TV. But mostly, TV empties our minds.) Two kinds of 'washing'.

Your image is a futuristic 'distopia', a world where humans have turned into metallic statues, caught inside their TVs. (Those TV's could also be cellphones or iPads.) And the TV's are the old-fashioned CRT Tube TV's, so they look like washing machines. And you've rendered the family brilliantly: Instead of creating 'automatons'---i.e., stiff and lifeless people---you've given this family real, human postures. They look real. A family of real human beings. But!!!

They look like they've been sitting in these positions so long, they've lost their identities. Their lives have 'washed away': I.e., they're lifeless, emptied "shells". Brilliantly done! I love how casual they are, how they look like they 'froze' in that position long ago. (These are old-fashioned TV sets, so this could have happened a few decades ago.) The eyes are 'blank'. ANd the father holds one of his children lovingly, while another rests her head on her hand---real humanity; yet they're 'frozen' in those positions, like some of the corpses found after the explosion in Pompeii.

As always, your textures and hues are beautiful, with that purple-tinged silver metal, and that "scratched" chrome that you use so effectively. (As if someone took a huge metal rake, and ran it across the surface of this metal.) Brilliantly done, Giuliano, and---despite the emptied 'caveat' in its message, it's visually beautiful too. (Oh---and don't let me forget: Another cat! Only, this cat's black. An omen...)

There's a reason why I hardly ever watch TV anymore nowadays.

Very intriguing texture effect!
