Description
The play takes place in the drawing room, a stage set equipped with simple scenery and multiple doors for surprise entrances and exits. The ridiculously complex plot defies logic but provides opportunities for humor, surprise and some spicy moments.
Robert, a good looking but not too bright young man is about to become engaged to Mathilde, daughter of the wealthy owner of the night club where Robert works as a waiter. The father suspects that Robert is really after the small fortune she is due to inherit so he has asked Mathilde’s cousin Josette to seduce Robert to show Mathilde that Robert doesn’t really care for her.
In the opening scene Josette has begun her project posing in a new dance costume she just bought to try out for a job as a showgirl at the nightclub. She certainly has caught Robert’s eye and Mathilde looks shocked at Josette’s behavior.
Featuring the stage scenery from BlueTreeStudios. To be continued from time to time.
Thanks for looking.
