Description

as a child we were so poor that I hunted for soda pop bottles to turn in for the deposit. I appreciate money even if it is a lowly cent. I pickup change and even paper money while out walking or even going to the mailbox in front of my house. do not laugh, as I found a $20 bill out there not to long ago. I also found a 1910 nickel the year of my mother's birth "Wheat" pennies are getting more rare and rarer. they have not been coined since the early 50's

In Germany and certainly in other countries there is the saying: "Whoever does not honor the penny is not worth the dollars." Fine photo and memory.

Cool, great capture, found five dollars walking through a field with my grandfather once, we never figured out where it came from, it was folded three times, thought maybe it was my grandfathers since it was his field we were walking in, but he said it wasn't his.

A penny with actual copper in it! I have always picked up pennies. I fill a coffee can at least once a year, which is pretty good since I live in the middle of nowhere. Money is money...waste not , want not.

We have a stash of them somewhere - my wife snaps them up anytime she sees one. Which isn't often anymore.

I will still stop to pick up a penny on the ground..... LOL
