Harkins It's actually "Kisses and squished hugs" with a smiley face-- that's how Jo always ends her emails. The last time I've heard from her was a couple of weeks ago and yesterday (I did not know she's already in heaven), I sent her an email to ask how she was doing. She always responds so quickly but this time, there was no answer. It is so hard to put this together without feeling a lump on my throat, tears and a heavy feeling on my chest. She is one of a kind, a great artist... she will be remembered for her works, her humble attitude, her jovial and bubbly ways and that infectious smile-- I think she wanted us to remember her that way. I will always miss her. Goodbye, dear Jo, my sweet friend. ~~Hugs and kisses too~~

This brought tears to my eyes, Lil' Sis. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. I'm still in shock.

I didn't know her that well - I'd exchanged a few emails with her, mainly asking how she liked using Blacksmith. She answered right away, and was so kind and encouraging. It took only a bit of reading to tell what a lovely person she was. I've got a bunch of her products, and I'll get a lump in my throat every time I use them.

What an amazing portrait this is - your lighting is just perfect, Sis. Sending a brotherly hug your way....

I feel choked up and so deeply moved. What a beautiful and wonderful dedication to this beautiful and wonderful lady. She was a good friend and an amazing artist. She will be greatly missed. I know that you and she were close friends and this comes as hard and shocking news to hear. The poem you included is so beautiful and so true of what Jo would want, for us to try to remember her with smiles and of course big kisses and squished hugs. She was truly one of a kind and heaven has gained for our loss.
