Description
Gralha-azul (Cyanocorax caeruleus). Aparados da Serra National Park, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
These birds stock up on Araucaria seeds for the winter months, playing a part in the conservation of forests. Not fast enough to prevent its habitat from diminishing, of course. The IUCN describes the species' status as "Near Threatened".
