Description

The sun was inching down, and the temperature began to cool. She shivered. Her attire was not quite suitable for the place. But it was entirely appropriate for the occasion. It won't be long now, she mused. Her breathing slowed down in anticipation, and her instincts soared. Then she heard the front door open with a clang. They had tried to be silent, but she had made it impossible by loosening some screws. It was a tough old metal door, built to withstand the elements. But it wasn't built to withstand neglect. So it rotted anyway. But it was still sturdy. It would fulfill its purpose. Last time, it was to keep things out. Now it would keep them in. At least long enough for her to do her work. There was indistinct chatter as her quarry moved in and moved about, probably looking after her. Just as she planned. Hence, the single shot. Boom. The magnum sounded like a cannon. Then a harmless slug whistling upwards. It has served its purpose as well. They were here. And she was here. She loved it when things fulfill their purpose. A little order in a world defined by chaos. And she had one too. In her head she counted 6 people. 6 prey. At least. There was one bullet in the chamber. Four more on the floor. She pursed her lips. 5 bullets against 6 quarry. At least 6. The odds weren't that good. She smiled. It wasn't all that bad either. In fact, it was just as she loved them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just some verbal doodling folks...:-D Thanks for stopping by and me hopes you likes....

Man, this needs to be blown up - The translucency is just GREAT!! Good lighting, and I've been know to give a rambling story from time to time :) Well done.
