Description
Another airshow newbie for me. A Luftwaffe Bronco putting on a display to the sound of the Rolling Stones for some added atmosphere. Thanks for looking.

Very good capture! The Bronco was a regular attraction of the Dittinger Flugtage in Switzerland (near Basel) were she always demonstrated her extreme agility and her absolutely outstanding STOL-Capabilities on the Dittinger sailplane aerodrome, which has a grass runway of only about 700m. She always used only about the half of the Runway length.

Like so many of today's iconic birds I knew it as only a destination. In this case it was North American Aviation's Los Angeles office on Imperial, as a laid off former Air Force officer gave me the ASW stuff from his vault and went on to COIN. In my deeper thoughts was AirResearch on Sepulveda and my tour of the air bearings technology later used in APU's. I did have an air hockey table, not Foosball!
