Description
Red and gray, my favorite color scheme.
Captured 6/5/16 @ 2:05 pm, at the beautiful Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance held on the beautiful grounds of the Huntington Beach Central Park in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.
The SS stands for Standard Steel. Saloon is British for an automobile having a closed body and a closed trunk separated from the part in which the driver and passengers sit. In other words, a sedan. And, for all of my life I had thought that a saloon was a drinking and gambling place in the Old West. Live and learn.
A ZOOM would be extremely helpful.
Also, that is not the prettiest hood ornament I've ever seen; it looks crude for such an elegant automobile.

Excellent captures of this beautiful old car. My uncle had one of these and we used to like taking a drive in it when we were young. The doors closed so softly not like on our car that you had to slam the car doors.

Such a marvellously looking car and you photographed it really beautifully, Harry.

Very well captured . Nice postwork toning down the reflections and not overshadowing the car. The hood ornament looks a little weathered but understandably so. You can just see how well made this car was down to the hood ornament through its solid detailed design. This ornament was cast of stainless steel, machined, knurled and chrome plated. Good stuff! Now a days all you get is some plastic knock-off which was stamped or cast with a silver painted coating.

A truly classy series of shots, Harry, from the little diamond rays on the hood ornament to the reflection of the trees in the trunk...beautiful artistic work. Doesn't hurt that the auto itself is so stunning! Well done!
