As vice chairman in Danish Red Cross Youth in Roskilde you have to dress your volunteers right so people can see the logo from your organisation. :) I have been in Danish Red Cross Youth in Roskilde for 4 years now and I still love it :D When first you have tried to work as a volunteer and have seen the happy faces of the children you get a nice feeling in your heart. The feeling that you can help others to feel better by use some of your sparetime - so try it out if your not already is a volunteer - I am sure you will love it :) At the moment I am in one of our activities called "Naturliv" (translated to Naturelife) here we try to show refugees the danish nature and what plants and animals they can find here. Last time we was out and collect fruit in the trees like plums and apples - the children jumped over a fence and on the other side there was a huge amount of stinging nettles but they did not knew that plant so their legs and arms got hurt. We quickly put some water on and after a while it was much better. This show that it is important that introduce people to the nature when they comes to the country. The children was from Syria, Kuwait and Afghanistan - and had perhaps never seen stinging nettles until now.
