Description

Many of my V4.2 and M4 characters (including the base figures of V4.2) have been infected by the "white eye" disease! I can't figure out what I did to whiten the eyes and blacken the lashes. I'm using V4.2, M4, and Poser 9. The V4.2 base figures are "infected," but the M4 base figure is OK. I would appreciate any help I can get. Can't seem to fix it with the Materials Room. Hard to adjust the eyes when every thing is white. All is OK when rendered. Thanks!

Perhaps you should try to put the preview render in render settings on "Sreed"... but I don't know if it will be efficient...

I use poser 9, never had this yet.but had a strange test render on a model where the skin was not correct. Hope you get a answer.

The eyelashes look like they don't have a transparency map. Check the material room to make sure there's a trans map and that transparency is set to 100%.

I had the white eye problem once and discovered that the "light emitter" box on the eyes/Properties panel was checked. Not sure if that's the problem here. It could also be that they've been assigned the wrong texture map (or the texture is turned off). I accidentally chose the wrong texture on V4 once and she ended up with an eye in her belly and a copyright notice running up her hip.

It does appear a glitch has deveolped in Poser itself dealing with transparency maps in your workspace preview. Since the renders are okay the correct materials must be loading from your libraries and are set up correctly. Did you look specifically at the eyeSurface material - that and the corona and tear gives me nothing but problems in both Poser and Studio. Many characters do not have actual textures for those items while others do. Case in point is the standard textures for V4 has eye reflection transparencies and standard M4 does not. Also, there are pose files for V4 that removes and adds the eye surface reflections. Sorry I can't be more help and I hope you find a simple solution.

And yet if you load her by herself the eyes are okay to be able to adjut them? It might be a memory problem and just need to reboot the computer or shut down the computer for five minutes to clear the RAM. I don't use Poser but do use Poser objects in DAZ Studio. Get similar problems on occasion when I load up a saved scene that has one too many objects in it. I added RAM so haven't seen this in a while.

I don't Use Poser but I use DAZ Try Rebooting and( Don't have any other program running even the internet) this will dump your Ram then fire up Poser and load V4 if this does not clear the problem delete V4 and M4 Base from every instance on your computer and reinstall them fresh if this does not help Try reinstalling Poser you may need to add more Ram even a New Video Card or a new Computer you may say UGG! but they are cheaper and Better Now and If you are Serious about Graphic Art it is money well spent and don't go for one that is for playing Games they use Ram in a different way and cost more!

OK here we go. Very weird! I've had this problem for a few weeks at the least. Today, I opened 45 different images, including the base V4.2 image, and the white eyes were gone. Can Poser correct itself? Or did I inadvertently do as you suggested? I hope this never happens again! Again, thanks, all!
