Description

Nightshades are a very economic variety of plants that range from tobacco and petunias to the eggplants, and tomatoes with several varieties being poisonous. Medea, who is the protector of the golden fleece supposedly poisons her brother with deadly nightshade because she has fallen deeply in love with Jason. This act allows Jason to steal the golden fleece and gives her freedom to leave the island with him. This is her working her deadly spell to increase the potency of the poison.
